Robert's Story
After School, I did a tour of duty as an Army Ranger for 3 years. After an Honorable Discharge in March of 73, I went into construction for 9 years. In 1982, I went to Keyport Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station for 15 Years. I was Rif'd in March of 97 and went back into Construction, which I started in 95...just in case. I have always loved doing construction / carpentry work and mechanics. I have recently retired...sorta...people keep calling for me to do things. I have two project cars. One is a 1966 Sunbeam...Expand for more
which I spent about 4 years restoring. It is in the picture. I have been working lately on a 1925 Model T Coupe. I purchased a 1968 Mustang for the running gear, which I spent about 2 years shoehorning the engine, transmission and rear-end into the Model T (all Ford). I have spent about 4 1/2 years on it and am currently working on the upholstery. Hope to have it on the road for Fathers Day...then drive the heck out of it. I gave the Sunbeam to my Ladyfriend...it fits her better and she looks better in it than I did.
