Robert's Story
Life
Well what do you say in bios that is not boring to those reading it? Anyway here goes the boring.
I have been married to a girl from Nederland for coming up on 46 years. We have three daughters (two living & oldest deceased on 4/19/14) and four grandsons, and one granddaughter.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineer from Lamar and pursued a career in electronic design and worked for several electronics equipment design and manufacturing companies including Lockheed Electronics at NASA, TRW Controls, EMR Telemetery, etc.
My longest period of employment has been with Mobil Oil Company which consisted of 15 years of service in the design, installation of computer based automatic control systems for oil and gas field automation. But after 15 years I was volunteered for retirement at the young age of 52, and did not know at the time Mobil had done me a favor.
Since that time I worked two years in the Middle East for the national oil company of Oman (Petroluem Development Oman)as Supervisor for the installation of new and updated computer control systems for production fields.
After completing my assignment in Oman I was a freelance control system consultant until I landed a position at Fluor Daniel as a control systems specialist and worked on a pipeline controls job in Rus...Expand for more
sia and Kazakhstan. I spent a total of four years in Russia and Kazakhstan during the construction and commissioning of the pipeline.
I currently live in the Kingwood subdivision of Houston. For those that are not familiar with Houston the subdivision is located just North of Humble, Tx on Highway 59.
Retired from Fluor Daniel engineering company in 2009 and relaxed until early 2012 when I went back to work for Bechtel, another engineering company, as a telecommunications engineer.

Military
After going to college for the first two years after high school and not doing well, I decided to volunteer for the draft and with into the army for two years. After training Fort Hood Texas I was determined to go back to college because the back breaking work being done by those with little on no advanced eduction was not for me. I spent two years in Germany and while there during the Berlin wall was built by the Russians. I manage to escaped being extended a year by having a termination date of 22June1962. Those had a termination date of 1July1962 or later was extended a year.
I discovered right quick that I was not made to be a lifer in the military. Too many stupid and lazy people in charge
