Been a nice journey since high school. Went away to college (University of Arkansas/University of Hawaii), graduated in Mechanical Engineering, joined the Army/Army Reserves, got married (to the same woman for 34 years), have kids (5) and (8) grandkids. Worked and retired as Engineering Division Head at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in 2006. Retired military officer from the Army reserves in 2002. Enjoying retirement.....watching grandkids grow up......surfing (longboard, bodysurf, boogie board), lifting weights, running, BBQ'ing and hanging o...Expand for more
ut at beach with surf buddies. High school was memorable......playing football, running track and field, going to classes with all the "bookworms": pan am bag with plastic protector in shirt pocket. To this day i can't figure out how I ended up in their classes?...I KNOW I WASN'T A NERD. Mr. Yoshino (math) always used to harrass me for showing up late in his Pre-Calculus class. Playing football.... Mr. Ted Ura (football coach) had a saying that stuck with me all these years, "The difference between good and great is a little bit more effort!"
