Robert's Story
1978 - BS in Small Business Administration from Mesa College in Grand Junction.
1980 - Entered Navy OCS in Newport, RI (Commissioned as a Line Officer in Feb, 1981)
1983 - Qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer while assigned to USS Juneau LPD-10 (Served on USS Juneau and USS Ingersoll DD-990 with three deployments to the Western Pacific)
1985 - Left the Navy to attend school.
1986 - Entered Westminster Seminary in Escondido, California
1989 - Graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from WTS
1991 - Ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church In America (PCA)
1992 - Entered active duty as a Navy chaplain assigned to USS Denver LPD-9
1993 - Deployed with the 13th MEU to Somalia as USS Denver¿s Chaplain (with 1st BN 9th Marines embarked)
1994 - Assigned to the 3rd Marine Regiment at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii with duty between 1st Battalion 3rd Marines and 1st Battalion 12th Marines. (One UDP to Okinawa with 1st BN 3rd Mar)
1998 - Assigned to MCBH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii as the Protestant chaplain...Expand for more

2000 - Attended Washington Theological Union in Tacoma Park, MD (WTU is a Roman Catholic seminary)
2001 - Graduated from WTU with an MA in Theology.
(Received a subspecialty code from the Navy in Institutional Ethics)
2001 - Assigned to USS Nassau LHA-4 (Completed a 9-month deployment in May 2002 in support of OEF and OIF with elements of the 24th MEU embarked)
2003 - Selected for promotion to Commander in FY-2004
2003 - Assigned to The Basic School at MCB Quantico, VA
2006 - Assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 29, Marine Air Station, New River, NC.
2007 - Deployed for one year to the Al Asad Air base Al Anbar Province, as the senior chaplain for II MAW (FWD)
2008 - Assigned as the Naval Support Activity Mid-South Chapel Pastor in Millington, Tennessee.
Currently also attending Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. Attempting to obtain a Doctor of Ministry from RTS.
Married in 1987 to LoAn Neaves in San Diego, CA. We have no kids and currently live in Arlington, TN.
