Robert's Story

Life After graduating Maryvale High School I went to Glendale Community College for two years, did a couple years in the Navy, and went on to ASU, graduating in 1976 with a BFA in printmaking. During my years at ASU I got married and had my beautiful daughter, Pippin Amber, and divorced in 1980. I have stumbled along doing commercial and fine art all these years. n my own home and studio (all in one). I am blessed to be able to spend each day drawing, painting, casting handmade paper, and making my own books and zines. In 1996 I illustrated a children’s picture book, A Gift for Abuelita, published by Northland Publishing. I am currently doing mostly commercial artwork, primarily mixed media landscapes and cast paper, sold through various reps around the USA. My personal love is handmade books, “the Trojan Horse of art.”
