Robert's Story
After attending Deland High in 1970 I transferred to Lyman where I graduated in 1972. Margie (a Bishop Moore grad) and I got married in November 1972 and moved to Flint, Michigan. It was during this time that I totaled the 70 yellow Mustang I had while at Lyman. I never got over losing that car. Since our short stay in Michigan we have lived in Deland, Fl., Charlotte, NC, Cooper City, Fl., Flagstaff, AZ., San Clemente, CA., Tucson, AZ., Downingtown, PA, Harrisville, WV, DeBary Fl and now back in Deland.
Early on I was the Cardiac Cath Lab manager at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. I then went into the cardiovascular device business in 1984, moving to Charlotte, N...Expand for more
C where I graduated from Queens University, After 30 years in the cardiovascular device business we semi-retired in 2013 and in 2014 we moved back to Deland.
Our son lives in Tucson, AZ and our daughter lives in Missoula, Montana with her husband and our 2 granddaughters. I'm active in our church as an elder and the Director of Missions. I am also an area representative for The Voice of the Martyrs.
One of my hobbies has been in restoring old Mustangs. I'm currently restoring a 1970 Cobra Jet Mustang but don't plan on doing any more after that. We still have our 60 acre home in WV but it is too remote for Margie. So I go there now and then to regain my senses.
