Life
OK - after high school, I enrolled at ETSU and worked summers in food service. Was planning on majoring in Secondary Education - until I spent time in a classroom as an "aid". It was then that I realized I did not like kids. The idea of spending the rest of my life in a classroom with them was not going to work for me. So I wasted a few years of college and turned to food service - cooking. I worked for serveral companies and ended up in Abingdon at the Martha Washington Inn as the pastry chef (ancient history - that was prior to United Coal buying the Inn). hat I grew with - what a blast. It is good to enjoy your work. Anyway, I spent 5 years with that company and moved over to Blockbuster. Worked with them for 8 years as a district and then regional manager. The franchise I worked for sold back to corporate Blockbuster and I continued to work for the franchise owner in some of his other business ventures. Still working for him, but now in sub-prime lending. I audit branches for compliance with lending laws as well as following company guidelines (I count the cash - wouldn't Ms Reedy be proud). Married? no not ever - Kids? please not a chance - Balding? of course - Heavier? who isn't - Still having fun - you better believe it!
