Robert's Story
Life
1/26/07,Well I've made it to the age of fourtysix (2/5/07), have been married for twenty-three of them and have two wonderful children, ages 15 (girl) & 13 (boy).
After graduating from Bloom I went to Milwaukee School of Engineering for two years, went to Southern California for the summer to visit my mother and stepfather and never went back. I worked as a piping designer then went into the Steamfitting Trade (Local Union 250). A engineering backround, drawing skills and a good midwestern work ethic gave me a good opportunity for success in the Steamfitting/piping industrary. I've always maintained my residence in Huntingon Beach, CA. but have worked in various states over the years and spent eighteen months in Kuwait (1996-97 & 98)My current employer keeps me busy in the Southern California area from San Diego to Ventura County running various projects so traveling out of state and country has been on hold for now. I always have something to do around the house and anyone that knows me will tell you that I never stop and always doing something. I am also a active Free Mason in Lodge...Expand for more
No. 380 here in Huntington Beach, CA.
I'm starting to feel all those old sports injuries and the effects of those hard days work more than I used to. I still love to snow ski and enjoy everyday on the local mountain (Big Bear) with my son, he prefers a snowboard. I also show him a thing or two on a skateboard from time to time but as he would say,"thats old school tricks dad." You should see the old photos I have from skating in Skyline Pool in the winter before skate parks where built in every town.
This new internet age is nice for keeping in touch with friends but can't replace sitting in the back yard around the pool with the fire going and shooting the sh**. As far as sitting in front of a screen typing well, I'd take being outside over that any day. You won't find me in front of the TV watching sports inless it's to take a nap.
I don't get back to the Chicago area much but always take the time to hook up with old friends in what ever area of the contry I'm in. It's a small world, the more you travel it the more surprized you'll be on just how small it is.
Best to all of you
