I am proud of my background being a Financial Analyst--BA, BS, MBA--Top MBA from a Top-10 Business School (IU), CPA and CFA--Chartered Financial Analyst.
Am of the opinion that the whole country should be shareholders and that a rising economic tide lifts the vast majority of boats! A majority of U.S. households now own stocks and that is a good thing.

The MGM Lion has been quietly meow'ing instead of roaring as LV casino revenues are down double digits percentage wise!
Yikes--9.4% unemployment rate in The U.S.; a whopping 12% in NV and (Gulp!) 12.3% for LV!!!!!!!!
I think things will change, but more investment-friendly politicians will have to be elected than the economic unfriendly current cast of characters overall in office now. High time for a throw the rascals out mentality.
There need to be better incentives for people to invest and businesses to grow and hire new employees, etc. as disincentives are now predominating. Some people are envious of the rich, but if the rich don't invest their money, there would be many fewer jobs.
