Robert's Story
After high school I went to Winona College in Winona Minnesota, from there I joined the Marines and went on to become a Vice Admiral's orderly who was in charge of all the ships in the Mediterranean, I spent three years on the French Rivera. We had a Marine football team on the ship and went undefeated playing other ships football teams throughout the Med. I came home and did various jobs from driving a tractor trailer for a number of years and then broke into sales. I spent the rest of my career with RRDonnelley and was Eastern & MId-West regional manager. My wife refused to relocate to Chicago because we had just had out first grandchild so the negated any further promotion but the did respect my position and assigned me the mid-West as well. that responsibility, we now have eight grandchildren and I sent her down the shore with some of them and stay home with the dog and the two of us thoroughly enjoy our time together. I now live in an over 55 community and am happy and enjoy my time living here. I attended the 50th reunion and Wayne Parker was my date, we told our wives to stay home so we could talk about what great times we had at CHS and not talk and show pictures of grandchildren, Ha-ha My wife left recently. And now I have the house & the dog. She is a black ShihTzu and 12 lbs. and the love of my life. Just taking it easy and waiting for the pool to open so after 39 years of marriage I swear I'm not going on mat.com. Maybe I'll meet someone at Dahl's cigar store on Haddon Avenue or Green Valley on Crystal Lake Avenue which is now called the Tap Room. As me aunt used to say (which I hated when she said it) "This too will pass).
