Robert's Story
For 40 years I have raised over $230 Billion for nonprofit organizations either as EVP of Universities and then started Hartsook Companies based in KC. Largest fundraising consulting practice worldwide. Sold the company to the employees in 2005 continued as CEO until 2009 and just retired as Chairman in Jan, 2019. Been married three times. My third wife, Karin, and I have a boy, Austin Robert. getting married in Wilmington, NC in October. His mother, Karin is one of my best friends rejoining the firm 11 years ago, just named President of Hartsook. Live on Wrightsville Beach, NC outside Wilmington, NC about 100 miles south of the outer banks. Have two other companies, Hartsook Farms & Resorts, specializes in resort properties and ASR Media, the largest fundraising trade micro press in the country. In retirement, just accepted a Visiting Professorship parttime at Indiana University. Very proud of all of you. Keep up with many of you on facebook. We had a great class.
