Robert's Story
Life
After school I spent 4 years in the USAF working on B-52's. During which time I met my wife Peg while station at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton. We were married in Sept 65 and I think I love her more everyday. We have 3 Children Stephen(66-70)(deceased), Robert(72), & Patricia(78). After the military I ended up at Packard Electric where I retired with 35.7 years. We now reside in Niles during the warm weather & winter in Florida. we bought a new home in Niles(1973)and are the proud grandparents of two boys Aaron & Timmy. They are both between 13 & 13 now and they sure grow up fast. Update I finally Retired in Nov of 2006 also took my SS at age 62...LIFE was GOOD until GM dumped our Pension & Healthcare! After reading for years all the woes of living on a FIXED income, it is our turn in the Barrel! We celebrate our 45th Anniversary in Sept. Now spending our WINTERS in SUNNY Sebring,Florida.
Hope everyone enjoyed the 45th Reunion in 2008! Looking forward to the 50th in June of 2013!

eting memories of funny experiences. Most aren't funny anymore as now I realize just how precious life is. Good friends are forever and I have several whom I see whenever the occasion arises. Now in retirement we try to see them even more.
Workplace:
After HS I joined the USAF attened Tech School and became a Jet Engine Mechanic. A short time later was promoted to Jet Engine Manager-Maintaining all engine records for the 17th Bomb Wing (SAC). Four years later I entered the job market in the Warren area finding only short time employment until 1971 where I started a long a career at Packard Electric, now Delphi Automotive Systems.
I had over 35 years service and supervised AM turn towmotor's on Plants 19 Dock.
I was forced to Retire in Nov of 2006 returning to GM( NOT REALLY THEY LIED) was the clincher. Now since Delphi under funded the pension fund the PBGC took over my pension then the NEW GM cut all the Heathcare to CWA-IUE retirees. Remember when we had a chance to JOIN the UAW, our UNION big wigs wanted the CWA-IUE another BAD MOVE!
