Robert J.'s Story
Life:
In 1982, I graduated from Southern Miss. After college, I moved to Las Vegas were I was employed with Circus Circus Hotel & Casino for close to five years. In 1986, I became engaged and moved to Southern California. There, I was Hotel Manager at the Beverly Pavilion Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. In 1990 after a "break-up" with my fiancé, I learned that my mother was diagnosed with cancer and decided to move back to Ocean Springs, MS. When she passed away, I chose to stay in Mississippi. After Hurricane Katrina, I relocated to the Hattiesburg, MS area. My father relocated as well and lived with me until he passed away from a brain tumor in 2010.

-Hopsitality and Tourism from the University of Guelph located outside of Toronto, Canada. I am a certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and certified Tourism Marketing Professional (TMP). In 2016, I completed my PhD in Human Capital Development program at Southern Miss. For nearly six years, I was an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Hospitality & Tourism Management Department at the University of South Alabama. Currently, I am an Asst. Professor of Business at William Carey University.
Workplace:
In 2015, I retired from Wyndham Worldwide after 20 years. While with Wyndham corporate, I worked in the areas of: Field Marketing, Regional Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
