Robert's Story
I droped out of Warwick Jan of 1966.I was known in school as the dumb one. Well I was. I join the Army, severd in Vietnam 68-70. Got got fo the Army and could not fine a good job as a droup out. I went back in the Army to learn. I got a AS from Regis University in Medical Equipment Repair Technician.. After I retired from the Army I went to, Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbera Calif and got a BA in Photography. Had a Studio in Santa Barbara, Titusville Fl, Sacramento Cal and in Daytona Beach Fl.. I then started Teaching Photography at Daytona Beach CC. ntroduction to Electronic Instructor has a stroke and she asked me if I would teach it. I said yes and how I had to learn it all over again. The next year as I was taking another coarse the Dean of DBCC was there an learned that I was a drop out. She asked how I made it though College. I said that it was easy I studie with the smart ones. He said that he wanted me to teach another class. College Survival. It was a class on learning how to learn. I loved it.
. I live in Grants Pass Or. Love MC riding, white water rafting. Am a member of Kiwains and the Duplicate Bridge Club. In school I was the dumb one. Then after VietnamI started learning how to learn then I found that I wasn't as dumb as I though. I am Dyslexic. Life has been good.
