Robert's Story
Robert is single as of 2022. Robert's schools include Lincoln (kindergarten), St.Alexander's Catholic grade school, Willowbrook High School, NIU (Engineering). I dropped out of NIU for about two years to decide what I wanted to do. During that period I traveled to Arizona and California with associations with many odd characters. Then resided in Elkhorn and Whitewater Wisconsin for a while bartending. After the thrill was gone (as BB King would say), I decided to go back and get a degree. Back at NIU I worked, took heavier hours, and got better grades (the opposite of what I thought was logical). However extra stress was the price paid. I was to graduate in December 1976 but I then learned that I had not fulfilled the graduation requirements. om Tom and Jerry's. The house appears to be gone now and I hope the Chameleons in the basement survived the demolition. Out of school, I took on quite a few different jobs: serviceman auto engine analyzers, test engineer, heat treat controls serviceman, studio mechanic, and finally test engineer at Vapor Bus International from 1999 to 2022. 2022 was a stressful year as I retired, got divorced, and moved. After being driven out of Illinois by the many greedy taxing bodies, I moved to Sebastian Florida which also has high property taxes but no state income tax. Was quite the Liberal when young but eventually graduated to a conservative (this can happen when you take on responsibility and hard work rather than riding on someone else's back).
