Robert's Story
Life
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. I went to Holy Angels and graduated from Oakland elementary school in 1951. I went on to Tilden Tech for 2 years and on to Englewood HS. I left Englewood in 1954 and went into the Air Force. I was stationed in Geneva, NY, Belleville, Ill, Alexandria, La, Lake Charles, La, and Killeen, Tx. After discharge I returned ...Expand for more
to Chicago and drove a bus for CTA until 1965. During this period I went to Wilson Jr College and Chgo Teachers on 69th and Wentworth. I sold appliances for Peoples Gas from '65 to '68 and was hired by Allstate Insurance as an Agent and worked with them until '78. I have been a Chevrolet and Ford Dealer until 2001 and have now retired where I now reside in sunny Sarasota, Fl.
