Robert's Story
After graduating in June of 82, I enlisted in the Navy. I went into the marine propulsion field to work with ship's engines, power generation, water distillation, and engineering machinery. I spent 23 years in the Navy, retiring in March of 2005.
During my time in the service, actually just before I went to bootcamp, I met a girl named Teresa. We were together a few months before I left and as time passed while I was away we found ourselves getting closer to each other. In 1983 I proposed to her and we got married in January of 1985. now 18, 6, and soon to be 4 (long story with the gap between 1st and 2nd child).
I've been fortunate enough to have traveled to five continents, many countries, and have met many interesting people. I even got to meet the President and shake his hand.
Since retiring from the Navy, I've been taking the training the Navy gave me and put it to use as a power plant operator in Philadelphia. Some of the hobbies I'm into are motorcycle riding, camping, and spending time with the family. We've lived in Warminster since 1993 but I still keep track of how Palisades is doing in sports.
