Robert's Story

Well lets see, I've been married twice, have four kids, 1 dog, 1 bird, 2 fish. Kids are Jeff 24, Steve 23, Sacha 21, and Bobby 16. Thankfully none turned out like I was in high school. OMG I can't believe my youngest is going to graduate in 3 more years. I mean we just graduated a couple of weeks ago, what gives? I got started on this again because of Dustin Cronhardt, my friend and next door neighbor in high school ( she has the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.) contacted me and I was curious as to who else might be around. So if your out there and remember me, drop me a note. If you know Lynnette Coxen, or Theresa Riggs, pass on my contact info to them -thanks. I now live in Santa Cruz and some days when i sit by the beach and close my eyes Im back home in Pismo. When the storms blow through I think back to the day when we ditched school and drove down to the pismo parking lot and watched the storm destroy the pier, it was really kind of the end of an era in my life that I will cherish forever. When my son Bobby wants to stop at Mcdonalds and i smell the fries I remember the days of charity bike rides for kiwanis and the free burger coupons we got for them. When the drive was over I remember taking a bunch of the coupons and treating all my friends for weeks to mcdonalds every day at break and lunch , and comming back to ag class with a bag of burgers and fries and sharing around the table. To look back now it seems like forever and yesterday all in one. As I look through all the pictures here I see each of you as you were even in the pictures of now. I Have mostly fond memories of school and all of you that I knew. I remember my close friends and I remember those whom I only met once or twice, and the ones I wanted to meet but was to shy ...Expand for more
in school to talk to. Yeah I know , those of you who know me are saying " YOU SHY?", but really i was untill I did know you at least in high school. ( I really don't suffer from being shy anymore, kind of went the other way). Took a long time to grow up, still not sure Im there yet. I think my kids will probably beat me. After graduation I joined the air force, then out of spite got married way to young (whole nother story - not enough room here), left the air force had a daughter, got mixed up with the wrong people through my ex(wife) got divorced. Then I moved to Santa cruz, got married a second time( I know kinda slow , I didn't learn the first time.)To A woman with 2 young boys ( Jeff & Steve). We've made it 16 years so far but she's been leaving me next month for about 8-9 years now whatever that means? Who knows maybe next month? I did ask her politely to make sure she closed the door all the way on the way out ( the wind blows it open sometimes.). She said that didn't help, but I think it does. In between all this I've had cancer and beat it, been disabled with a back problem in 1996 and again now(2008). I worked to help pass prop 215 medical marijuana act. I lost my brother Kenny in a car wreck in nov 1997 and my Grandpa to a bad heart in jan 07. I've missed my class reunions for a selfish wife, and not seen many an old friend for the same reason. After the last year of my life Im not taking it anymore. Im out to reconnect with old friends make new ones and get back into life. So if you know of any class gatherings or if any of you live in the central part of california still or ar visiting e-mail me or call. robertkvidt comcast net 831 247 2131.
