Robert's Story
For the last 19 years, I've been living in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I am a professor of supply chain management at Western Michigan University. Actually, I've been living in Michigan since 1982 when I moved to East Lansing to attend graduate school at Michigan State University. When I graduated from MSU in 1988, I accepted a faculty position at Arizona State University. program, an interdisciplinary curriculum between the colleges of business and engineering.
In the mid-90s, I took a sabbatical and accepted a faculty position at Norwegian School of Management. When I returned from my sabbatical, WMU appointed me as the ISM director. I remained as the director until 2004, when I become director emeritus and returned to the classroom. Currently, I teach an auditorium section of business process improvement and small section of strategic management.
