Robert's Story
College
I went to Rutgers,Camden 2 years, I later went to Glassboro State College (now Rowan Univ) part time for a few more years. I finally got my bachelors degree after 37 years and also have some Masters credits.
Workplace
I worked 26 years for the Camden,NJ Police department. I walked a beat, worked a patrol car, was a crime scene investigator, patrol sergeant, booking desk sergeant, patrol division lieutenant, detective bureau lieutenant, tactical force (swat) commander and patrol division commander as captain. I advanced to the rank of Captain and retired in 1999. I also coached high school football at Paul VI from 1978-1982 with former St. Joe coach Dave Capozzi. Our 1981 team was 10-0, State Champs and #1 ranked team in New Jersey. We were unscored upon the first 7 games of the year and did not have a touchdown scored against us until the state championship game.

as east coast regional security manager for Valero Energy Corp. the largest oil refiner in the country. I had refineries in NJ, De, Ohio and Canada. Very interesting job after 9/11/2001. We had many incidents investigated by Dep.t Of Homeland Security. We had a bomb scare called in from Pakistan, A mental ex Navy Seal tried to gain access, Reporters from Channel 10 and Phila Inquirer tried to sneak in. NEVER A DULL MOMENT. When Valero sold all east coast facilities in 2009 I retired again. In October 2012 I took a position as security director for the Franklin Mills Mall in NE Philly. I left there in 2013. I Spend my free time playing golf, riding my Harley with the Rolling Badges Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and watching Phillies games in both Jersey and Sarasota Florida where I have a home.
Family
I have three daughters and a stepson, 8 grandkids , and have been married since 1979.
