Robert's Story
In October 2016 I and my wonderful wife Karen will be celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. We have two boy's, Richard 27 and Shawn 25. Our whole family loves to go camping, Ride quads and ride motor cycles. In 2003 I retired after 23 years in the Michigan National Guard. 18 of which I served as a fulltime Federal Technician with the Department of the Army. A year later I went to work Meridian Public Schools as a school bus driver. I guess I didn't get enough abuse in the Army, but the hand to hand combat training came in handy at times. s for about 9 years until I switched over to the Lead Bus Mechanic that I'm now doing. With both of my career's I was able to stay near my home in Sanford Michigan. In 1984 I joined the Lincoln Township Fire Department and became a Firemen/EMT. Through the years I held the ranks of Captain and Asst. Fire Chief until in 1992 I was I was selected as Fire Chief of the Fire Department. So in a nut shell since High School I have served my Country, my Family, my Church and the community in which I live in. Looking back at my life I don't think I would change a thing.
