Robert's Story
After our '69 graduation, I went to Parks College. With a very low draft number, USAF ROTC looked like a pretty good deal. Shela Roberds (Class of '68) and I married in '70. I graduated from Parks in '73 and gave the Air Force the next 25+ years of my life. We lived in 15 places including Germany. I flew all over the world, spent some time in several combat zones, and retired as a full colonel...Expand for more
. We moved to Texarkana to run their Regional Airport before finding an opportunity to come back home and run St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia for the next 15 years. I retired again in 2014, bought a little grass airport SW of Millstadt and enjoy flying with our granddaughter and with our son, an Airbus Captain with Jet Blue. We're enjoying our health, having fun, and never want to grow up!
