Bob's Story
Military:
After leaving High School I joined the Navy (1966-1987). During my time in the 'Canoe-Club' I did two tours in Vietnam ('68 & '69) serving in the 'Brown Water Navy' Mobil Riverine Force CTF116. I was later involved with our advisory-missions in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Grenada. During my 21 years, I was stationed in Germany, the Philippines, Virginia, Texas, California, Maryland, Spain, Azores Islands, South Carolina and Florida.
My Job in the Navy was a Cytological Technician 'R' Branch, in short communications intercept specialist.
I spent a lot of time temporarily assigned to various ships throughout my time in the Navy(from 5 days to 8 months), but was never permanent ship's company. In all I was on over 40 different ships.
Family:

15 years, then divorced.
I Met my second wife in 1987, she is a Swiss-miss, and now we live in Switzerland.
Career:
I worked here as an IBM System Controller, and IT-Production Supervisor for 18 years. First with a Health Insurance Company, second for A.C. Nielsen Marketing and lastly HSBC Private Bank.
As of September I am retired. We currently live in a little village 15 miles west of Lucerne, in the central region of Switzerland.
Hobbies:
AH, well when the weather plays with me, then it's golf. In the states I could get out on the course a lot more (and it doesn't cost a fortune like here), and I had a 11-12 Handicap. However, here the season is really dependent on the weather, so you don't have as much time to play/practice and my HDC has dropped to 19-20. Plus I'm not 30 anymore.
