Robert's Story
Robert is from Edinburg, Texas. He is married. His schools include Edinburg High School. He later attended The University of Texas at Austin (Did not register senior year Sept 1970), Pan American University (now part of UT System) (Spanish minor, English Literature). He works(ed) at Test Prep Seminars, Sharyland ISD, Irving ISD.

better place to be, and I went there regularly on my little blue one-speed.
When I was a high school junior, my thoughts included a vague notion of joining the Air Force and fighting the commmies in Vietnam. By the end of that summer, after reading "The Arrogance of Power," it was "hell no, I won't go." By the end of the first few weeks on campus at UT Austin, I learned a new use for a matchbox. But I never learned to roll my own with one hand.
And now the story. Japanese, Germans, Vietnamese and Americans now attend reunions at the site of bitter bloody battles where no one can remember what they fought for, other than a piece of ground and just to survive at the other dudes expense.
We lost brothers and friends and Edinburg is a poorer place because Nolan Simmons, Leonel Ryan and Freddie Gonzalez fell in that far off land.
I've got a wonderful wife, two super adult children, and a world-wide family comprised of members of the Baha'i Faith (6-7 million) plus another 6 billion (and counting) people from every culture and nation and all socio-economic classes.
I plan an extended trip---for the rest of my life---to visit these family members.
