Robert's Story
I went for one semester at Ball State after HS, however, I was ready to flunk out so I joined the Marine Corps with Lynn (Poke) Pontius. Went to Viet Nam after Boot Camp and infantry training. Stayed in the Marines for 20 years and 6 months and was able to receive a BBA (acconting) and an MBA (finance). ery had. I was used to death from Viet Nam, but this was much more personal. It took me 2 years to get over it, and I still think of her today, even though she's been dead for 14 years. I was lucky, I met another lady, a RN, and we married 12 years ago.
I'm now semi-retired, drawing social security, retirement and VA disability. The VA disability is from exposure to agent orange and I'm also suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome. Isn't war great!!!!!!!!
