Well presumably you know that I went to GPHS - that's why you're here, right? Well I have mixed feelings about old GP in general but I guess most of us have a mixture of positive and negative memoreis about high school. Mostly what I remember now is how many warm, wonderful friends I had, and how many great teachers I had who really encouraged me to learn and grow and aim high. I'm not in touch with very many people from HS any more but what I share with the few I still hear from is incredibly rewarding. I would love to hear from others! rms. I'm in the "International Executive Services" practice. We help companies plan foreign assignments for their employees. It's tax-driven but we also get into compensation, benefits, payroll and HR policy. If you're gonna be a CPA this is about as good as it gets - I talk to people from all over the world every day, and from time to time my clients send me to their foreign offices - at last count I've been to 13 foreign countries for work. My job is based in Washington, DC, and I do it remotely from San Diego. I don't directly serve clients but help my company's professionals resolve tough tax issues, design and present training courses, write articles, etc. Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I've been ... the career has certainly had its ups and downs and things don't always go the way I would wish - but it could be a lot worse!
