Robert's Story

Life Bummed around Europe, lived in Berkeley, Menlo Park, Cotati, San Mateo-10 years, and back to San Carlos in 1987. Married in 82, divorced (sigh) in 98, 2 wonderful girls, Rachel 26 and Amanda 28. Amanda just graduated in Anthropology from Reed college in Portland, Rachel's lost in LA soaking up the urban myth. Moved to Oakland in 2001 near the Mormon Temple - it's beautiful up here! Have worked in data processing for 23 years recently as a director and VP of Development in several companies. Spent some time running a small pro sound company in Oakland but now am back to technology working in product management for Hitachi - sigh.... I sail,...Expand for more
ski, play accoustic blues (badly), rave occasionally, and am a decent house DJ (used to have a weekly Internet Radio Show - Live from The Shire) I was introduced to Vipassana meditaiton a few years ago and might describe myself as a Buddhist. Still see Dave Bennett (Bielenberg) and Chas(Chuck) Lovelace pretty regularly. No friends like old friends. "How do you prove that despite a nice car and a good job, you're still a hippy at heart?" "Tell 'em you still eat Granola." In many ways, I loved high school. I also have come to believe that the class of 1967 was a watershed class. The transition class from old skool to whatever it is we have now.
