Robert's Story
Lets see... Well in 1972, I joined the Army, spent 3 months in Leesville, LA, 3 months in San Antonio, TX, and the remainder of my 2 year tour in Camp Zama Japan.
After leaving the Army, I kicked around for a couple of years from job to job, and met my wife Diana (Dee for short) at a place called Beeline Fashions where I was a stock boy and Dee was an order handler.
In 1980, my son Robert Charles was born, and it was time to get on with my life. I got a job at the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and eventually got into computer software development. I stayed with them until 1995 when they were purchased by the Union Pacific. The UP was not intent in staying in the Chicago area so my choices were to move to Omaha or St Louis or look for another job. I...Expand for more

I moved from job to job and finally settled at Lucent in 2000. Our group was sold in 2001 to SCC which formed a new company called Intrado. Ive been there ever since. I currently am a Senior Software Engineer there and work on 9-1-1 systems software.
My son graduated from Northern Illinois in 2001 with a BA majoring in economics and is working for Travelers Insurance.
My wife Dee is living the good life now, after Bob was born see worked at K-Mart/Sears as a cashier and retired a year ago.
In my spare time, I like to paint. For those who know me, they know I was always doodling! Im also into computer gaming and my most recent addiction is World Of Warcraft. Im on proudmoore and can usually be found under the handle tylerdearden.
