Robert's Story
Graduated Oklahoma State University May 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and went to work for TxDOT. Worked for TxDOT in Amarillo, Austin, and El Paso. A career highlight was being chosen in 1994 as TxDOT Project Engineer on a $72million highway bridge in metropolitan Austin. Managed $180 million TxDOT construction program in a design, construction, maintenance Area Office in El Paso with 95 employees. Retired as TxDOT Area Engineer in 2002. Worked as consulting Civil Engineer in El Paso until 2006, then began work for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in Oklahoma City. on Dam Safety Project at Canton Lake Oklahoma through 2016.. Chosen in 2016 to be USACE Project Engineer on ultra high priority Emergency Cumberland Levee breech at Lake Texhoma Oklahoma that was awarded USACE National Dam Safety Project for 2017. Retired from USACE on 28 February 2017, and was awarded Commander's Award Certificate and Medals for exempletory civilian service to USACE.
My wife and I have lived in Edmond, Oklahoma since 2006, and my daughter and son in law live in Edmond as well.
I am semi retired and my primary hobbies are OSU football and working with my newest German Shepherd in personal protection training (after 4 loyal and true German Shepherds passed over the rainbow bridge to heaven following long happy lives).
