Robert's Story
I graduated from The Curtis Institute of Music in 1966 and was hired as a Rockefeller Professor on a grant to The Philippines. In 1969 I enlisted in The United States Marine Band in Washington D.C. where I played in the White House for a little over 4 years. I then spent a year back in Philadelphia regrouping. In 1974 I accepted the principal oboist position in The Hong Kong Philharmonic where I stayed through May 1979. I then moved to L.A. where I tried to become a studio recording musician but I was sadly under qualified. Those guys are jazz musicians and they play many different instruments. moved to South Carolina and learned the Automobile business from my cousin. I put the music behind me and became a successful car salesman. I spent 2 years selling in Philadelphia but subsequently moved to the San Francisco area ending up in San Jose where I sold Porsches until I retired 1n 2007, moved to Kyle Texas just south of Austin and found a real nice 1851 square foot 7 year old house in a typical suburban neighborhood.
