almost 20 years. About the same time began as a volunteer at the Torrey Pines Open, in January every year still doing that as the 8 South Hole Captain. Stop by and say hello next year. I also volunteered as a Marshal at the last two US Opens that have been held at Torry Pines. A year after retirement from CS, started volunteering at the EC American Legion. Progressed from Post Adjutant to Post Commander and back to Post Adjutant. Served as a City Counselor at The American Legion's Boys State Program at Sacramento State College for 8 years. Decided to bring in new management so I moved to the Alpine Post. Managed, Coached (sons and grandsons) and Umpired at the Santee American Little League for more years than I can remember. Cheryl and I have been married for 58 years and have 4 children, 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Our youngest daughter was born in Okinawa and graduated from the first class at West Hills High School as the Valedictorian. We moved from the house we purchased in Santee in 1972 to El Cajon in 2000.
