Robert's Story
Life
I have had the opportunity to connect with many wonderful people over the years. Many have remained as my friends and many have drifted away. Thank you to all my great friends from school and the Coast Guard. I would love to hear from the rest of you.
School
School for me was interesting and challanging. My best memories, from Quartz Hill, were of friends Paul Burgess and Jay Woods. I wish I had not lost touch with Jay when he went off to Palmdale for school. Jay if you are out there send me some email. As for Paul he died in after a full life and many friends.

apology for being a jerk. And for all the rest of you who were such great friends and didn't feel I was too crazy to be around thank you for hanging in there.

Military
I really enjoyed the crew of the Vigilant. I remember steaming our way to a rescue playing vollyball on the flight deck. Some of the highlights were the crew handling the Argo Merchant sinking, picking up a dismasted sailboat off Bermuda, and the Tall ships of Operation Sail in 1976.
The people at Radio Station New Orleans were great. Fun times in New Orleans and solitude in the radio station grounds.
