Life
I was born at a very early age. However, probably seemed to fade away about the 11th grade. Actually, obtained legal emancipation at 16, attempted to work fulltime, became disillusioned, dropped out, and tried the streets. So, by the good Lord's hand I made it to my 18th birthday which I celebrated with an Army recruiter. Thus, my enduring home and family for the next 30 years. Reached my 10,950th day in March '01; in keeping with policy, I had to put an egg in my boot and beat it. Was I surprised to find little demand for retired Airborne Rangers back in civilian life? scene in favor of profitable hobbies, going back to school, and staying closer to the six Grandchildren. I have two Sons still serving (also Rangers), another who previously served in aviation, yet another doing the starving artist bit via Texas, Washington, and now Georgia, and a raven-haired Daughter in LSU Law School. Married for something over two decades to the former Elsie Youngblood of Columbus, Georgia. Our urban patrol base is now in Fortson, about 80 miles south of Atlanta; a country place with more acres than most old soldiers should dare dream about. Love to hear from any yu ole Texas Podnuhs and of course we've got plenty room for viztuhs if ever yur roamin the roads out this way.
