Robert's Story

Got my BS in Chemical Engineering from Univ of Colorado Boulder, 1959. Married Barbara Snyder from Maryland in 1957. Finished PhD in Chemical Engineering at University California, Berkeley, 1963. Have three sons. Worked and lived in Bound Brook NJ (Union Carbide Plastics 1962-1969). Taught Chemical Engineering at Michigan State University in East Lansing MI til 1978. Moved to job at Amoco Chemical Company in Naperville IL, 1978 to 1994. Amoco is now part of BP. Retired and lived in Grand Rapids MI til 1997. ers U in Memphis and Stevens in Hoboken NJ.. Retired again and moved to home of present wife, Cassandra Bruton, Hill city/Bogue Kansas. Still playing my saxophone. Have traveled all over US and Europe as well as Russia, Japan, India, Egypt, Morroco, and cruised all over the world on cruise ships. Most notably Greek Islands, Turkey, Israel, Panama and Colombia. Hanging in there on my in-laws farm (homesteaded in 1887) in NW Kansas. Have a great dog,4 cats and some chickens. It is very peadeful, dark, and quiet on the farm. The weather is hot, cold,and dry.
