Workplace
After doing volunteer work at SI through SI Outbound, I was determined to live a life of service. After 4 years at SF State to become a teacher, during which time I was very involved in youth programs at my parish of St. Gabriels, I taught and worked as Atheltic Director/Youth Minister in 2 Catholic Elementary schools...St. John's in Glen Park and later at St. Joseph's (before ...Expand for more
the parish was shut down). I later worked for a year at a private school in Oakland and then left teaching for 9 years. In 1999 I returned to teaching as a 5th grade teacher in San Jose, actually making a living as a public school teacher. If I remain in this job until I turn 70 (24 more years), I should have an ok pension for myself and my wife Noel (sister of Lou Carella-Class of 1976).
