Robert's Story
After high school attended college. Hated it. Dropped out after a couple of years. Married in 1975. Divorced in 1979. One child from that marriage. Met my current wife a few months later. We married in 1981. We recently celebrated out 28th anniversary. I have three beautiful daughters (one from my first marriage)with one granddaughter, and another on the way. Worked many jobs as a laborer (mover, construction, rock quarry, slaughterhouse)in my younger years. In mid 80's began working in aerospace manufacturing. Have been Director of Procurement (just means buyer) for close to 25 years. Also began body building (mostly power lifting)in the 80's. I am proud...Expand for more
of my one time 405 lb two rep bench press with spotter present but not touching the bar. Older now and realize none of that matters at all. Fun at the time though.
In 2004 I became a Christian. Spent three years in Bible College. Currently attend a Calvary Chapel locally where I play guitar in the worship band and teach Sunday School. Two years ago suffered a heart attack (too many years of smoking). Had to have bypass surgery. Fortunately, I had already quit a few years earlier or they say I would have died. Doing OK now. Lot's of heart damage so I tire easily now. My physical limitations keep me turning to Jesus Christ my Saviour so I'm OK with that.
