Robert's Story
Life
After being graduated from Newbury Park Academy in 1959, I attended Pacific Union College (graduation: 1963). Then Kathleen Kelpien and I were married in 1963 in South Pasadena. We both attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin--Madison (M.A., 1966; Ph. D., 1970--both in English). Later I took a second master's from Claremont School of Religion (1977). We have two children: Deborah Kathleen (born in 1969) and Clark Robert (born in 1970). At the moment Deborah has a contract as a legal officer with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Clark is a CPA in Irvine, CA. Clark married Lena Yacoub, and they have two children--Nicolas Clark (nearly 4) and Laila Marie (1 1/2)
