Robert's Story
Life
I currently am married, with two daughters, ages 11 and 13. My wife and I am currently raising them in Akron, Ohio. My wife is originally from California, so we take many trips out west to see her family.
School
Graduated Chippewa High School, in Doylestown, Ohio (1986)
College
I attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus, Ohio starting in 1986, just after graduation. Didn't finish more than 2 years, when the military and other things took the forefront. In 1996, I went back to school at Akron University. I graduated in May of 2001 with my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Workplace
I started out as a co-op in the Summer of 1998 working as an intern for the Maintenance Rule Program Engineer (don't a...Expand for more
sk what it is...). I worked for him for 2 semesters, and another 2 semesters for the Electrical Systems Unit. After taking a year back in Akron to finish my degree, I hired in full time as an Electrical System Engineer as of May 2001.
Military
After getting out of Lackland AFB for Basic Training in April of 1988, I completed technical training as a Ground Equipment Mechanic at Chanute AFB, Illinois. This was followed by a two year permanent duty at Lakenheath RAFB, UK. I pursued many travels, and spent some TDY time in Incirlik, Turkey for Desert Shield/Desert Storm. In 1990, I was stationed at George AFB, California, just to turn around again and support Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia at Dharan Airbase. I honorably discharged in 1992.
