Robert's Story
Life
I graduated from the University of Illinois in 69 and went on to Northwestern in graduate studies in 69-70, where I spent a quater in Washington, D.C. The experience drew me eastward where I worked in succession for the Wilmington News Journal in Delaware, the Philadelphia Bulletin and the Philadephia Inquirer. Somewhere in there circa 78-79, my first wife and I separated and divorced amicably. I remarried Suzanne in 1982 and we had a beautiful baby daughter named Sarah. tart a company named Medialink, went on from there to become managing editor of the Journal of Commerce, a Knight-Ridder paper. Ran many of the publishing and editorial operations for Standard & Poor's until the year 2000, when I became editor in chief of Merrill Lynch publications, at marketing HQ in Princeton. Along the way, I won a few journalistic prizes and did some investigative reporting I am proud of. I also authored a book, Until the Sea Shall Free Them, a nonfiction account of a significant ship wreck and the trial that ensued. All things considered...it's been a gas.
