Robert's Story

Wow, how do you write in a nutshell about life the last <cough> 27 years... I got married in 1985, in 1990 I had my first child. A wonderful daughter named Harmony. She graduated this year from High School (wow, time flies). Some of you may have heard her on local radio. She has a real popular show on c-89 FM. She is also working at King FM part time and is starting in Fall for another station (I cant say right now, but it is a high ratings station). She will be attending UW in the fall too. I have a son named Chase (who Im sure you will be hearing about too, someday and also on the c-89 fm). Chase is a awesome baseball player who currently plays for a local high school and in a summer league. He also excells in other sports (golf and soccer). Both kids are honor roll (far from where I was) and have great heads on their shoulders. After I divorced in 1998, I swore I would never marry again and live the life of a bacheolor, that only lasted till 2006. I met my wife Maggie a few years earlier. She is amazing and still continues to amaze me. After the house we lived in together burned down in April of 2006, I decieded in July that if we could make it out of a burning house at 4:15 AM, we could make it though this wild and wacky thing we call life. Funny thing, I knew we I first met her, that my days were numbered. She is a long time personal dog trainer (or as she likes to say a people trainer) and has a grown daughter. We live in the Inglemore area of Kenmore. Myself, besides raising kids and being married, I bounced aroun...Expand for more
d in the early part of the 80's working for Rainier Bank and Unigard Insurance. Then in 1985, out of desperation and in need of a job, I started my career with Safeway after 6 years there and in the middle of a strike in 1989 I went to work for QFC. Im now going into the 27th year of my so called career. Its been good and has given my family and myself a good health plan and now as I get older, retirement. I am now about 5 years away from being able to retire and am thinking of sticking it out and finishing up and then heading either to Southern Oregon (my son will be going to University of Oregon) or Colorado (Breckenridge area). Cant think of two better places to be spending summers. And the winters, Im thinking some where in the valley of the sun, Arizona. My Dad is a snowbird and I got hooked on it there while visiting him. I've done some traveling and always loved coming home. However, Im finding this state is too darned expensive to live in. I look forward spreading my wings and getting out more. Theres so many stories and facets of my life, someday I'll write a book and Im sure you'll get a copy. I havent been to any of the reunions yet, but I hope to go to a 30 year (now that we are becoming old farts). I heard about you party animals at the Longacres reunion, whew, who knew....81+kegs our graduation year....ummm. To those of you whom I have lost contact over the years, sorry, life just got busy. I hope sometime to meet up and share pictures and stories. I hope life is good and happiness is abundant in your life!!
