Dr. Seuss "If it has stats, we can kill it." - T.G. Jackson, intro to 3rd ed Hackmaster All thinking men are atheists. ~ Ernest Hemingway What doesn't kill you makes you "stranger".". More about Robert:"I was born two months pre-mature on May 17th 1973 in Riverdale, GA.. I'm Scott/Italian with a Cherokee chaser. I was born into a poor family. My father is Anthony P. Miller, and my mother is Jackie E. Rainey. They divorced when I was 15 years old. My family has lived in Clayton county for 300 years. One of my ancestors; John Elliott, was a cartographer and explorer for King George II (for whom GA is named). He came to GA with Oglethorpe in 1733 and was the first white man to explore the interior of Georgia. He mapped out all of Clayton, Henry, and Fayette counties, set up trade between the cherokee and England and married a cherokee woman. He started a plantation that stayed in the family until the Federal Govt took it from us in 1865. They sold it for a penny an acre to Durham Morrow who then built.......you guessed it:" Morrow". But I'm not bitter. The Italian side of my family came over in the 1890's. My great grand father's name was Giuseppe Miraglia. He was a senator from Napoli (Naples). Either his brother or his cousin (sketchy info) was assassinated by the mafia, shortly after, he sailed to America and changed his name, his religion, and married an American woman. ever taught his children Italian. I have relatives in Potenza, in Calabria. One of my Great grand father's close relatives - also named Giuseppe Miraglia - was a WWI sea plane fighter ace and war hero. There is a Piatza and statue in his honor located in Napoli. I was always very sick as a child, with routine hospital visits all through my childhood. I used to be highly anemic. I couldn't go outside, and had to live in a plastic bubble like John Travolta for a while. When I was 4yo, I was Paralyzed by Spinal meningitis. After years of Gamma globulin shots and physical therapy, my immune system was finally up to speed and I also learned to walk again. As a child, I used to see dead people. I've had many encounters with ghosts which led me to study the paranormal at a very young age. Around 1984-85 I saw a real UFO.....I never believed in them until then. I was within 50 ft of the craft for about 3 minutes. After it left, several black military helicopters flew overhead and a few jeeps carrying men in funny looking jumpsuits drove by with spot lights. These events helped to mold my current religious beliefs which are somewhat less than....."conventional". I went to E.J. Swint elementary school until 6th grade, then went to both Riverdale junior and Senior high schools. I had a 4.0 GPA and received a presidential award from Ronald Reagan granting me free tuition to any University in the US. My 12th grade year I had sex for the first time, got into several fist fights, and started smoking pot. My GPA went down to 2.1 and I had to repeat the 12th grade. I lost my presidential grant. I went to college anyway, spending a year at Clayton State, but found it difficult to work 3 jobs, go to school and pay all my bills. I quit school but continued to educate myself on the subjects that interested me. My 20's were spent wandering, working odd jobs, backpacking and hitchhiking around the world. I had lots of adventures, but felt lonely and without purpose. Then I met my wife Candace and all that changed. She gives me purpose. She's also my best friend in the whole world.".
