Bob (Robert )'s Story

Why doesn't anyone write anything on there profiles???? Life My wife and I are presently living in Washington State in order to take care of her mother and so I can go to school full time. I have retired from the Navy after over 20 years. I have done my fair share of traveling and seen most of what I want to and know where I want to go back to. I continue to be an avid motorcyclist going on 25 years now. When I retire completely I hope to go back to Italy and settle down there, I loved living there. I plan on completing my BSME in 2011 from Saint Martins University in Washington. When that day comes I am going to take a few months off and hopefully start working in mechanical design. School I was raised as a kid in Vermont until I was 15, then I moved to Arizona. In Vermont I lived in Castleton, Barry/Montpelier, Burke Mountain, Groton, Westminster, and Bellows Falls. The schools that I remember are Westminster Center and Bellows Falls Middle School. In Arizona I lived in the North Phoenix area of Paradise Valley and went to Greenway middle school then Paradise Valley High School. I am presently going to Pierce College in Tacoma WA. and in 2009 I hope to be going to St. Martins University in Lacey, WA. Workplace During high school I worked at the Swensons Ice Cream parlor at the Paradise Valley Mall. Then I worked at Smitty's in the restaurant and snack bar on 32nd and Bell Road. After that I worked with my father at a lumber...Expand for more
yard in Scottsdale and then with Gloria's brother-in-law prepping and painting houses. Then in March of 1984 I was off in the Navy for a few years. Upon retiring from the Navy I worked at WSI outside of Atlanta Ga. Was laid off and decided to go back to school. Military Joined in March of 1984 and was in boot camp Company 915 in San Diego, Ca. From there I went to Seaman Apprenticeship Training at NTC San Diego. Then I was on to the USS Constellation CV64 in Coronado Ca. from 84 to the beginning of 86 as a seaman in both second and first divisions. From there it was on to Groton Ct. for Submarine School then the FT pipeline of schools from 86 to 87. I chose to go back to San Diego and to the USS Plunger for a few deployments then decommissioning in 1990. I went to SUBTRAFAC San Diego to be an instructor in the attack centers and teach the teletype maintenance and the four plot courses until 1993. Then it was on the USS Drum for a couple of years until it went to Hawaii for decommissioning in 95. Then over to the USS Plunger for a few more years of life at sea until Dec of 97. After a few months back in Groton, CT. for Master FT school I was off to Sicily, Italy to join the crew at the Pachino Target Range on the south coast of that beautiful island. I served at NAS Sigonella and Pachino until 2002. I was then station on board the USS Rhode Island for a little over two years as the LAN Administrator. I retired in Aug of 2004
