Life After leaving Wayne. I went to EMU for a year. Due to Financial difficulties I joined the Naval Nuclear Power program. They paid me to drink and go to school??? Completed training At Great Lakes IL. 83'(Electrician 3rd class). Stayed for 6 months on staff at the training center. March 94 transfer to Orlando for Nuclear Power School ( 4 yr degree jammed into 6 months. Left in Aug 94 and was transferred to S1C operational reactor training center, Windsor Locks CT. Complete schooling there and was sent to my first Submarine in March - USS SSBN 655-b Henry L. Stimson. Made EM2 shortly after reported .Served 3 years on board qualified all applicable watchstations and Duties. Made E-6 and was transferred to Shore duty at Submarine Squadron 4, I was assigned as a Electrical systems analyst - overseeing Preventative, Predictive, and Proactive technology application and Submitted packages for Overhaul recommendations.I continued this for 4 years. While there The NAV sent me to MANY schools.Most civillian, with certification. One of them Was a company called CSI. They made Software and Hardware designed to aid the Maintenance personnel in ensuring max avaliable capacity. They offered me a job as an analyst in Knoxville TN. While there I worked my way into Management. Where I had budget,sales,and customer service responsibilties. At the end I supervised 30 service reps over a 25 state territory. Oversee $10 mil in annual contracts and $6 mil in Training and startup services. As well as providing Management consulting on Program enhances, Benchmarking programs. I left that Job in Feb2001 to join Daimler Chrysler's Indiana Transmission plant in Maintenance Supervisor in Kokomo Indian. We live in Noblesville a Suburb on the NE side of Indianapolis Family life: Married Lisa (Fochler) Dec 28 1985. (seperated for several months in 2003 - my **** up) Children: Erik -15 - Honor roll, Guitar, ESPN Katie - 11 Honor roll, VolleyBall, Drama Club Patrick - 10 - Honor Roll, Soccer, Focus club, Football Great wife, great kids but they hate me. onestly wanted to die, but did not allow for time change and sister in Seattle called cops to take me to ER. By all rights I should have died. Sometimes still wish I had. College Went to EMU for only one year. Commuted for most of it. Spent most time with my future wife Lisa. Left due to financial reasons. Joined the Navy Nuclear Power program. Got a Trade and a Life. Workplace After getting out of the Navy. I went to work for CSI a predictive maintenance management and supplier. I started as a field service rep and worked my way up to being Regional Manager. Spent eight years with CSI before leaving to come up to Indiana. Since Feb 1991, Ive work for Daimler Chrysler as a Maintenance Supervisor at the IndianaTransmission plant in Kokomo. Currently I am the 2nd Shift Tool Room / facilites supervisor. Basically doin time. Trying to survive day by day. Military Joined Navy after finishing finals after 1st year at Eastern Michigan. They had a Nuclear power program, which would send me to school for 2 years and pay me to drink!! Went to Greatlakes (ILL) for basic training. Graduated Augst 83. Then went to BEE, EM "A" school. After finishing those I stayed for 3 more months as staff while waiting for Nuke School to start. Went to Nuke school in Orlando Florida March 84 - August 84. Graduated 3.2 GPA. Went on To S1C Prototype Windsor Locks CT. Stayed there until March 85. Went to First ship SSBN 655B Henry L Stimson "Hogbody" Spent three years there with a couple of TAD to other boats. Met my Best friend Fred Hudson the "AGphox" (silverfox)Left the Hog in february 88. Was assigned Submarine Squadron Four Performance monitoring team. Held rank of EM1/SS staff electrician. WE would do audits , surveys, and inspections of the 14 subs assigned to CSS4. Fred hudson got me in on his personal recommendation. After learning Vibration analysis, Infrared thermography, Post mortem bearing analysis, Certified Electrolytic Oxygen Inspector, Certified Circuit breaker inspector. Left at EAOS in Nov 91. Just shy of nine years. Had job offers one from CSI my future employer. But I still miss the Nav. I wanted to stay the term. But it wasnt meant to be.
