Robert's Story
After graduating from North Springs, Bob attended Western Carolina University where he earned his BS degree. While at Western, he was Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice-President of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha. He also served on the Student Government Council and worked part-time in the University's Business Office. Following graduation, Bob worked in the Finance Department of the City of Charlotte for 10 years. tation company. A position he held for the next 23 years until the company was sold and closed. Bob then served as the Executive Director of a large local non-profit for the next 5 years until the economy forced the non-profit to close. He then became a licensed insurance agent for medicare and long-term care policies for United HealthCare where he worked in their Call Center for Medicare Advantage policies (Part C) and medicare drug policies (Part D) until the annual enrollment period ended. Bob entered retirement in February 2012.
