Robert's Story
Life
My career has been that of a consulting engineer in the water and wastewater industry. I have worked for three firms around the country within 20 some states and overseas. I'm now working in southern California and anticipating retirement on a "ranch" in a mountainous wine producing area of southern Arizona.
College

college career at Va Tech came when I lost my glasses in the Duck Pond the day before I took a physical at the Roanoke draft board. I flunked the eye test. They told me I would be called back for a retest in 6 weeks. Instead, the Army reclassified me 4-F (physically unfit for service). I started at Tech in the Corps of Cadets. I graduated a civilian student.
