Life
I've been living in Coral Springs, Fl. (near Ft. Lauderdale) for the past 18 years. I moved here from Syosset, N.Y. in 1989. I worked as a lawyer for Liberty Mutual Ins. Co. from 1974 until February of 2007, when I took early retirement (hooray!!). I probably should say "semi" retired, since I now work as a Mediator. I try to get lawyers and their clients to settle their cases. It's very rewarding and a lot less stressful than being a full time trial attorney. It also gives me a lot more free time since I work on average about 15-20 hours a week.
I've been married to my wonderful wife Nancy for the past 34 years, and we met while I was going to law school. She works as a para-professional in the local school system- she works primarily with autistic children. We have two kids- our daughter Tiffany is 29, and still lives locally. She's dreading turning 30, and is getting absolutely no sympathy from her Dad or Mom...Expand for more
. She's a paralegal and has a steady boyfriend for the past two years. Our son Eric is 24, and still lives at home. He's toying with the idea of going to law school. No steady girlfriend at the moment.
I feel that I've been very lucky and have navigated the waters of life after high school with very few speed bumps.
I attended our 20th reunion of the class of 67 in 1987, and it was wonderful to see the hundreds that showed up. We weren't quite so lucky this past weekend with the 40th reunion, as only about 40 people showed. My hunch is that people become more disconnected from their high school memories as the years go on. Those that came had a terrific time, but I hope that we get another large turnout for our next milestone reunion (45??50??). It's incredible how the years have gone by.
I hope that some of my 1967 classmates are members here and will get in touch. It would always be great to hear from any of you.
