asure: helping patients as an internist at an anxiety clinic in the 1980s while I worked for Upjohn in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It showed me there's a bridge that needs to be built: primary care doctors don't listen to their patients for more than half a minute before they butt in and start asking yes-or-no questions. Psychiatrists listen for 50 minutes without asking much at all. Would love to hear from you if any of this strikes a chord or gets you thinking. LinkedIn has all my academic and work experience.
