Robert's Story
Life:
I moved from CT to RI in 1997. In 2003 I moved to Northern California after meeting my wife when I was in Hawaii competing in Ironman World Championships. She did not want to go through East Coast winters, so I moved out here.
We are living in wine country - Sonoma county, California. I started my own business called RxFiber. We are making medical grade yarn for medical devices and consulting on medical device designs. Ironman triathlon racing is on hold after a third ankle surgery. I continue to swim and bike, but no running. My wife Brenda has her own business with HR development. I am a Masters swim coach for our gym. I continue to kitesurf and windsurf with some golf on the side too.

Mt. Talak (9700 ft.), close encounter with a black bear (less than 10 feet), took up mountain biking, climbed Half Dome, seen a lot of Redwoods and mountain biked the Flume Trail in Tahoe. I started to road bike racing last year since I could not run. I have had a few crashes along the way and my bike recovered well from it.
The World is a small place. I now swim on a Masters Swim Team with a guy I swam with in College at Southern CT (SCSU). Another person I swam with in Masters in CT (Wesleyan Masters Team) now swims in San Fran. We are friends with a couple who I worked with him back at US Surgical at my first job in Norwalk, CT. It is funny how 30 years go by and get caught up with old friends like it was yesterday. Anyone else in CA?
