Roberta Burton:  

Just a brief outline for now...Married in 1966 (Stauffer), 2 children (girl and boy). Moved to San Diego area in 1973 and still live here. Divorced around 1980. Remarried in 1984 (Burton). Have 4 grandchildren - 2 boys & 2 girls. Ron passed away - massive heart attack - 12/31/05. He was only 49. I was devastated. We had 2 dogs and a cat. They have all died since then also. I am an animal nut and each of their passings still makes me cry if I dwell on it. I cannot bear to get another because of the heartbreak, but I want to eventually rescue one or two who need a home. It is still overwhelming to think about that at this point. Have been semi-retired but want to go back to work part time eventually - sooner rather than later. That's about it! Hate getting older, but still act like a silly teenager. Not exactly appropriate, but it can't be helped. I suppose that is why I am the favorite grandmother (or Memaw, as Jennifer's kids in Arizona call me). Still love the beach and try to boogie board with the little ones, play in the pool and even go on the slip and slide (I always slide the farthest). Love any kind of water ...Expand for more
