Roberta's Story
Nothing too exciting. I swear I just live each day as it comes. I married in April 1991 in Maui, HI. Oct of that same year Andy and I moved to his home state of Michigan. I have been trapped here ever since! :) I do travel with work so I get out to places like CA, TX and my favorite, NY City! I have two beautiful children, Makenzie who is 11 (born 1996) and Ian (born 2003) who just turned 5. We live in a subdivision in a vey small town. I think there are more cows then people! Our joy is summer and spending time in the pool. MI winters are not as long as AK but I think colder sometimes! Did I ever tell you I HATE SNOW and COLD! One of these days I know I will get my dream of living somewhere warm to hot! AZ? Andy is an executive at Macy's. Love the discount! Hate his hours! We never see each other at Christmas. I am a District Sales Manager for Avon Products. The best job I ever had! I have about 600 representatives under me that keep me busy. I love the flexibility the job offers. - 5 job but days go by fast. There is something said about working out of your home and van. I also do corporate training to new managers that are hired. This is what takes me out of MI from time to time. If I could do this all the time, I would. It just requires too much traveling for my family right now. I also do taxes. This makes me feel good about spending all that money on an Accounting Degree that I really have never used. I am too much of a social butterfly to sit behind a desk and computer. See, I am boring! But happy! Perhaps I will make it to a reunion some day. AK isn't my favorite place to travel to. Pretty and some fond memories but other then that. Last time I was there was when my father past away in 1997. I spent almost the whole summer getting his affairs in order (and worked part time...hey James Strong, hows it going?) I really haven't had a desire to come back. My daughter wants to go again. I just think the money for air fair is better spent going to Aruba. Maybe I will venture that way for the 25th reunion!
